About Sean

I have worked as a personal trainer and strength coach for over 20 years. Before becoming a coach, I competed professionally in track and field, raced at the U.S. Olympic Trials, represented the United States internationally, and finished third at the 2006 U.S. Indoor National Championships.

Today, I work with clients with a wide range of goals, from getting stronger and losing weight to staying active, feeling better and preparing for athletic or outdoor challenges.

From athlete to coach

My years as a competitive athlete still influence the way I coach. I learned the importance of hard work, consistency, gradual progression, recovery, and being willing to adjust when something isn’t working. I use those same principles with clients, whether they’re training for a specific event or simply trying to become stronger, healthier and more active.

Outside the gym

I spend a lot of my free time climbing and doing other outdoor activities. Having goals outside the gym has always been a big part of how I train, and I enjoy helping clients get stronger and fitter for the things they want to do in their own lives.
